Sports First Aid

This course will give you all the necessary first aid skills to deal with a whole range of sporting injuries. The course content will be tailored to the sport or environment the delegates are involved in. It develops skills, knowledge and confidence to assist in a first aid role in any sport.
 
It is an ideal course for those who have contact with people within a sporting environment and the potential for the need to administer First Aid as a result of a sports injury such as muscle strains, joint injuries. This includes:

Professional Drivers First Aid

This course provides professional drivers with the skills, knowledge and confidence to administer first aid in emergency situations while on the road. It covers spinal injury, unconscious casualty, bleeding, resuscitation, safer handling and moving, and emergencies in public. Professional drivers will gain the skills and confidence to provide first aid in emergency situations that can happen on the road.

Basic Cardiac Life Support

St John Uganda offers a tailor-made Basic Cardiac Life Support course of international standards.

 It’s a theory, scenario and practical based course   that equips candidates with the skills for resuscitating victims of Cardiac arrest.

This course aims at providing participants with the professional basic skills and knowledge for Cardiac life support to be able to perform Cardio Pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and activate emergency response system when the situation is out of control.

Basic Life Support

The Basic Life Support course offered by St John Uganda is the most appropriate for people with the zeal to acquire primary skills and knowledge such as basic mouth

First Aid on the Road (Road users

This short first aid course has been developed with all road users in mind. It covers CPR, spinal injury, shock and other necessary first aid skills. It gives candidates the confidence to know what to do at the scene of a road accident.

The course is ideal for members of the general public who wish to learn how to manage an incident on a road. Drivers, riders, cyclists and pedestrians are welcome for the course.

 

First Aid For Babies

This course is open to everyone who is responsible for caring for infants and toddlers, but is especially aimed at parents or expectant parents who St John Uganda earnestly would wish to empower with first aid skills to enable them take charge of emergencies they encounter at home, workplace etc. Babysitters, grandparents, aunts and uncles are all welcome. This course introduces candidates to the professional approaches of recognizing and treating the common ailments among toddlers and infants.

First Aid Level II & III (Standard Level)

On successful completion of First Aid level 1, learners are legible to complete first aid level 2 and 3 (combined).  It involves revision of information learnt in first aid level 1 and rummages further into the provision of emergency care and emergency childbirth. Water - related emergencies form part of this course.

First Aid Level 1 (Emergency Level)

This course introduces learners to the basics of First aid. It is the entry level on emergency principles where learners are acquainted with knowledge and skills to perform basic life support.
